Rosenblatt Solicitors real estate head joins Winckworth Sherwood

Winckworth Sherwood has boosted its real estate team with the appointment of Rosenblatt Solicitors head of real estate Andrew Kinsey.

Kinsey has joined after 10 years at his previous firm. He advises on acquisitions, development, financing, management and commercial and residential real estate.

Winckworth Sherwood head of real estate Francesco Ferrari said that the firm is keen to grow its real estate offering after Kinsey’s appointment.

Ferrari said: “Despite the challenges of Brexit and an uncertain economic environment, this year has seen a marked increase in the size, scope and number of real estate instructions we are now receiving.

“We will continue to invest in talented individuals such as Andrew, ensuring our clients have access to the best real estate lawyers in the market.”

Winckworth Sherwood’s real estate team currently numbers about 100 and specialises in  planning,investment, construction, plot sales, commercial property, tax and asset management.

In its latest financials, Winckworth Sherwood reported a 12 per cent increase in turnover for 2015/16, with revenues coming in at £37.3m.

While property remained the firm’s largest practice overall, generating 38 per cent of firmwide revenue (£14.2m) in 2015/16, on a per-partner basis the corporate group was the most lucrative.

According to data from The Lawyer Market Intelligence, the firm’s real estate and construction clients include Essential Living, Circle Anglia, Network Rail and Crossrail.
