TLT growth slows as turnover rises 4 per cent

Growth at TLT slowed over 2016/17, with revenue nudging up 4 per cent to £74.6m.

The slight increase follows a year of double-digit growth at the firm in 2015/16, when turnover soared 15 per cent from £62.5m to £71.6m.

The firm, which has offices in six UK locations and Piraeus, has grown steadily since 2012/13 when it embarked on its three-year growth strategy.

In the last four years, TLT has increased its revenue by over 50 per cent from £48.2m.

TLT is run by managing partner David Pester, who was last year re-elected to a sixth three-year term. He has been the firm’s managing partner since 2002.

Panel wins gained by TLT this year include BT, Molson Coors and the Government’s Crown Commercial Service roster.

Law firm financials are coming thick and fast now, with Watson Farley & Williams last week announcing a hike to £160m.

Eversheds Sutherland boosted its revenue by 8 per cent, while Simmons & Simmons and Osborne Clarke both posted turnover hikes of 7 per cent.

Fieldfisher’s revenue meanwhile skyrocketed by 34 per cent to £165m amid growth in London of 17 per cent.
