Freshfields, A&O and Hogan Lovells among eight winners in Kingfisher UK panel review

Eight firms have won a place on Kingfisher’s UK legal panel following a nine-month review process.

The Lawyer understands that Allen & Overy, Bird & Bird, Clyde & Co, Eversheds Sutherland, Foot Anstey, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Hogan Lovells and Womble Bond Dickinson have gained spots on the home improvement giant’s list of preferred firms.

The previous Kingfisher general counsel, Clare Wardle, moved to Coca-Cola European Partners to head up its legal team in 2016.

She was replaced by Paul Moore, who arrived from Tesco.

Hogan Lovells’ client relationship partner for Kingfisher, global chair Nicholas Cheffings, said: “The firm has built a strong relationship with the Kingfisher legal team over recent years and I and the rest of the Hogan Lovells team here are looking forward to continuing to work alongside them in helping the business to achieve its transformation programme.”
