Stephenson Harwood opts for continuity as White extends CEO term

Stephenson Harwood has opted for continuity in its leadership, with chief executive officer Sharon White extending her term until 2019.

White will fulfill her role for a further two years, meaning she will have led the firm for ten years at the end of her current tenure.

She was first appointed to the role in 2009 and re-appointed in 2014.

Alongside White’s extension, the firm has further re-elected Roland Foord as its senior partner. He will begin his second three-year term this May.

White was a member of Stephenson Harwood’s corporate division prior to taking on the helm of the firm. Foord meanwhile is a commercial disputes lawyer.

Stephenson Harwood’s turnover has risen every year since 2008/09, when turnover stood at £85.1m. It is now nearly double that at £158m, which was recorded for the 2015/16 financial year.

2014/15 saw the most dramatic revenue increase, as the firm celebrated a rise in turnover of 20 per cent, amid a 42 per cent increase in PEP. These rises were attributed to a high proportion of work carried out in previous financial years, but billed only in 2014/15.
